- Support Development - providing valuable information, training videos, and tools for building and maintaining a strong support base.
- Processing Donations - you will receive "Instant Notifications" by email every time one of your friends makes an online gift. In addition, we have a wonderful Team where mail is picked up daily, online gifts process 24/7 (via Cards, Bank info, and even Crypto), and details like address changes, pledges, and project-info are constantly updated. Our Team is here to answer questions from your supporters and help with donations via our Toll-Free Number. Our online donation system can process Credit & Debit Cards from any nation (cards not issued in the USA) and automatically converts their currency into USD$. Notice that your page will have Social Media links so that your friends can actively share your page on Facebook, Twitter, or by email (if you are in an Undisclosed Nation, the Social Media Links can be turned off if you prefer). Do you realize the power of this? This one tool means that you will be able to meet new contacts with very little effort! It’s like having an ongoing fund-raiser for your ministry. Some of the features of our powerful online system are: your friends can give one-time gifts or set-up automatic monthly gifts, create their own Login account to manage their profiles and card information, choose the exact day of the month for their gifts, print receipts, and a ton more options. Our system also processes International Cards (cards not issued in the USA and automatically converts their gifts into USD$) -- and can process over 38+ Cryptocurrencies. - Thank You Receipts - are sent to your supporters every time they give. These receipts are either e-Receipts or mailed via First Class postage (depending on what the donor prefers). Each receipt includes the donor's official Tax deductible statement / YTD total / reply coupon with your name and fund code / a convenient return envelope / and a short devo. These letters also remind your friends to continue praying for you and supporting your mission work.
- List Maintenance – keeping your list current with updated information such as name and address changes, emails, telephone numbers, etc.
- Deposits – WOM makes ACH direct deposits to the missionary’s Bank account every two weeks – most organizations only transfer funds once a month. Our direct system is fast and much better for your cash flow with two deposits per month.
- Deposit Reports – deposit reports are uploaded to your WOM portal every two weeks (these reports match the deposit-amounts that we send to your bank). With these reports you can easily see where the funds came from, spot new donors, see donation amounts, check numbers, credit card activity, etc.
- Missionary Care – we have a heart for Missionary Care and continuing education. On a regular basis, we produce Training Videos and Missionary Telephone Interviews for our WOM missionary family (uploaded to your Login Portal). With 400+ missionary families we have a ton of wisdom to draw from! You will be able to benefit from the knowledge of other mission workers around the world. You will find the information that we provide very helpful for your mission work.
- Friendship and Networking - assisting with oversight, counsel, and friendship. We can be a sounding board for you and network you with other missionaries who may have been through similar challenges, projects, etc. It’s important to have a home office that has experience helping mission workers.

Our Missionary Agency developed as a result of my own travels over the years into many parts of the world. Wherever I went, I met quality missionaries who desperately needed a home office. They all seemed to say the same thing – “We need a DEPENDABLE HOME OFFICE that has our interests uppermost in mind. We want someone in the States who will do a good job for us month after month." Through these experiences God spoke to my heart about establishing our Missionary Agency. What Services Do We Provide?
1. We are a dedicated home office for mission workers. We provide many specialized tools to help them fulfill their calling. Most churches and pastors are focused on their local ministry and are not prepared to tackle the daily duties that mission workers require. Many pastors have commented on how our Missionary Agency is the key that their mission workers needed to succeed. Our Missionary Agency takes the stress off the church and allows their missionaries to benefit from our system.
2. We facilitate Online Donations for our families that includes "Instant Notifications" – whereby you receive an email the moment one of your donors makes an online gift. This allows you to quickly thank them and helps you develop good donor relationships. Our Online Donation System can process gifts via Credit & Debit cards (any card, any currency), Bank Info, and even Cryptocurrency! Thus, our missionaries truly have the opportunity for "Global Support" and are not limited to USA funding only. Our Online process allows all donors to set-up their own Donor Login Accounts to manage their giving info, create automatic monthly gifts that cycle on the day they choose, generate a copy of a Tax-deductible receipt, and many more options. 3. Thank you letters (501 c3 tax deductible receipts) go out like clockwork every time someone gives to an outreach. Donors can opt for e-Receipts or letters that are mailed First Class. This one service alone is critical to the success of any missionary. These receipt-letters remind the donors to not only pray for their missionary but to stand with them financially as well. Each letter includes the donor's official tax deductible receipt, a reply coupon with their missionary’s name and fund code printed on it, a return envelope for their next gift, and a short devotional. Each letter also has the information needed if the donor prefers to give by credit or debit card.
4. Our Team maintains the missionary's Contact List with current, updated info on a daily basis. We keep up with ongoing changes such as name and address changes, pledges & automatic gifts, email addresses, telephone numbers, etc. Detailed list maintenance is extremely important. With our 24/7 login system, our missionaries are able to login in and update information from their end too. We also handle questions and phone calls that come in from the missionary’s friends and supporters – credit card changes, bounced donor checks, re-prints of receipts, etc. We represent the missionary by telephone and by mail in a professional, positive manner.
5. We send deposits to the missionary's checking account twice a month -- on the 15th and 30th/31st (most groups only send one deposit per month). Our system also generates a Deposit Report for each deposit -- which shows the name of each donor, donation amounts, check numbers, type of online gift, etc. Each missionary can access all of this information with their 24/7 WOM login portal. Our missionaries are also able to develop sub-lists within their mailing list (like key donors, key pastors, etc), make address updates, generate all kinds of reports, create Excel files, print labels, print envelopes, and a host of other functions within their portal. These kinds of tools allow our missionaries to fulfil their ministry with a spirit of excellence.
6. Our Team has a heart and system for Missionary Care. We are always available to help with specific questions, problems, and challenges that may arise in a missionary’s work. In today’s world, we are just a phone call or WhatsApp call away from direct communication. Additionally, we are continually adding new Training Videos and Missionary Interviews (telephone interviews with mission workers around the world) to our Resource Library that cover many topics that are common to all missionaries.
7. Our organization also provides two-way financial accountability. We use an independent CPA accounting firm (Thompson-Price-Scott-Adams & Co.). They maintain our records and we publicly post our yearly IRS Form 990 reports on our website (scroll to the lower portion of this website, yellow section - "WOM Financials"). We also maintain accurate records for the missionary to help with their taxes. Many of the mission workers we serve utilize Thompson-Price-Scott-Adams & Co. to file their yearly tax returns. They have years of experience helping mission workers properly file – and minimize their tax exposure by using the Schedule C form for ministry expenses and other deductions that apply.

1. What is a Missionary Service Agency?
- Broadly speaking, there are two main types of missionary agencies: SENDING agencies and SERVICE agencies. Our program is a Service Agency. Here are some of the main differences: a Sending Agency is usually much more controlling. They may even have a contract that you sign (1-5 years), and for all practical purposes you become their employee. You will go where they send you and do the tasks that they assign you.
- Our organization is very different. As a Service Agency we feel that ministry decisions belong to the missionary, the Holy Spirit, and the leaders that you are already in relationship with. Our main purpose is to serve you administratively in many ways that volunteer help or churches are not prepared for: daily mail pickup, 24/7 online donation processing, donor relations (our Team is available when donors have questions, need to update giving information, etc), funds transmission, Deposit Reports, and a web based system that allows you to login to your own WOM portal 24/7. Our role is to serve you while allowing you maximum freedom to pursue your own mission work. In our structure, you are considered an independent mission worker (in IRS tax terminology, “independent contractor”). You are not working for World Outreach and will not be considered an employee. In fact, you will most likely network with other mission groups and workers to accomplish the vision that God has put in your heart. One huge advantage with our system is that if you eventually change locations or roles, WOM goes with you! Many groups will cancel your account if you change locations or roles. With WOM, we continue serving you as long as you are in some form of ministry outreach. Our job is to serve as your dependable home office. A dedicated home office can mean the difference between your success or failure.
2. What qualifications do you require before I can affiliate with you?
- Mission workers become WOM Affiliates through an application process. Your Application will be reviewed on an individual basis. Generally, though, we require at least one of the following: 1) Some type of previous ministry experience that we feel has prepared you for the mission work you will be engaged in (short-term mission trips, previous ministry experience, etc.), 2) Some type of formal Bible training (Bible School, YWAM, Discipleship classes, etc.), or, 3) If you have zero experience and are just beginning, then we will require you to be a part of a formal training program – for example, a YWAM DTS program – or, perhaps you know a veteran missionary who may be willing to invite you for an Internship role. In that case, we would need a letter of invitation from the missionary that you will be training with. For those just beginning, a period of training and orientation is important for many reasons – cross cultural adjustments, practical training, and of course, safety reasons. 3. Why not just start my own office?
- Most mission workers do not have a budget that can afford an office and all that goes with it. Computers, software, printers, supplies, 501(c)3 status, regulations, staff -- it all means a lot of money AND specialized knowledge. Additionally, most missionaries cannot afford a full-time, dedicated employee to attend to their needs. Our Missionary Agency is already set up to help you -- and for much less than it would cost to start, staff, and maintain your own organization on an on-going basis. We have missionaries who have budgets all the way from the low end ($1,000 per month) to the high end ($50,000 per month) who know the value of having a dedicated home office. If you want to be focused on your mission work, you just don’t need to be side-tracked trying to develop an office.
- Beyond the financial questions are the "dependability" and "frustration" factors. Even if you had an office, someone has to run it. Over the years we have seen many missionaries return home because a part-time helper or well-meaning volunteer (or church) accepted more responsibility than they were prepared for. We have seen missionaries waste time and money wrestling with office problems while they were thousands of miles away. We can free you to concentrate on God's work by providing you with a dependable home office.
4. Where will my support come from?
- We will give you important guidance on how to trust God and effectively communicate for the support that is necessary for your work. Your support base will come from friends, churches, and other contacts that God will lead you to. Our Resource Library has detailed Training Videos that will guide you step by step on developing an effective newsletter, Prayer Card, and building a support-base. We have had the joy of helping many individuals and families raise (and maintain) their budgets for the mission field.
5. Do I really need an Agency like yours?
- If you are called to long-term missions (as opposed to occasional short-term trips), then the answer is "YES!” Today’s missionary work demands that you have a dependable home office, accurate record keeping, receipting, online donations, and a regular flow of reports. Generally, well-meaning friends and churches are not prepared to meet these specialized needs day after day, month after month. You do not need the frustration of trying to run an office while you are thousands of miles away. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before obscure men." We are here to help you be diligent in the practical side of your ministry so you can succeed in God’s calling.
